Phone & telephony

The Phone is an in-game smartphone with calls, SMS, contacts and a balance. You open it from the bottom menu, but first you must buy a smartphone in the shop — without it the phone icon is unavailable.

Your number

On first launch the phone assigns you a unique number in the format NXX-NXX-XXXX (e.g. 415-208-0731). It's shown on the home screen — other players use it to text you and add you as a contact.

Apps

• Calls — a dial pad (0–9, *, #). History of your last 20 calls.
• Messages (SMS) — chat with other players by number. Message length up to 500 characters.
• Contacts — add players by phone number. You can't add yourself or a duplicate.
• Balance — shows your TecktoCoins balance.

Telephony

• SMS between players — send a message to any valid number (directly or from a contact's chat). If the number exists the message is delivered; if not — "number not found".
• Incoming SMS are marked read when you open the phone; the app plays a notification chime.
• Calling players — dial a number and press call. Calls between players are always "busy" (there's no voice channel) — the dialer is used mainly for cheat codes.

Cheat codes via the dialer

If you dial a valid cheat code instead of a number, it activates: it grants a reward (e.g. TecktoCoins) and +1000 XP. Each cheat code works only once per player — dialing it again returns "code already used".

Black Market

Your contacts always include a special entry — the Black Market. "Calling" it opens a hidden storefront with items (terminal modules and more) at a +7% markup. Purchases deduct TecktoCoins straight from the phone.
